Ballet is not very child friendly
The ballet performance had some lovely dancing, but it was not what I would consider child-friendly. I found the absence of certain elements from the classic Cinderella story, which most children adore, quite disappointing. Missing were beloved characters like the mice, cat, and other animals, as well as props such as the pumpkin/coach. I did appreciate the presence of a giant clock as a prop that my children enjoyed, but more elements to hold their interest would have been nice. In the show, there were two additional fairies besides the fairy Godmother, which I didn't mind, but their constant appearance in every scene was a bit excessive. It seemed illogical to have three fairies/Godmothers present at both the ball and Cinderella's house at the end of the story. Although the stepsisters provided humor and the dancing was beautiful, I believe this ballet is better suited for adults than children.
